A car crash left two people dead in an area with a large amount of red dirt in California
The California Department of Motor Vehicles (DMV) has confirmed that a car crash killed two people in an intersection in a city that is home to a large number of red-tiled roads.
The accident occurred at about 3:40 p.m. on Sunday, May 16, in the intersection of Westfield Boulevard and Route 6 in San Luis Obispo County, where a large volume of red road markings can be seen on several different streets.
The two dead, who were not identified, were identified as Eric R. Lillis, 51, of San Luis Oroville, and Patricia B. Martinez, 46, of Oxnard.
They were both pronounced dead at the scene.
The cause of the accident remains under investigation.
